The spiral sand washer is professional sand washing equipment, mainly used for cleaning and dewatering of natural sand, crushed stone sand, construction waste aggregates. It adopts spiral structure to scrub and separate mud, dust and impurities from sand material. Large processing capacity, stable operation, low failure rate. Widely matched with sand making and crushing production lines.
The workflow of a stone crushing production line is as follows: raw stone → primary crushing (jaw crusher) → secondary crushing (cone or impact crusher) → fine crushing/sand making → vibrating screen → sand washing equipment → finished sand and gravel.
Stone crushing involves jaw crushers, cone crushers, impact crushers, and sand-making machines. Sand washing equipment is also essential in the production line; positioned after the crushing stage, it performs desliming, dedusting, cleaning, grading, and dewatering on the crushed aggregates. Common types of sand washing equipment include spiral sand washers (single or double-spiral) and wheel-bucket sand washers.
Single-spiral sand washer: Features a single spiral shaft; offers a simple structure, compact footprint, and low investment cost; suitable for small-to-medium capacity operations and materials with low clay content.
Double-spiral sand washer: Features two spiral shafts operating synchronously; offers higher processing capacity, stronger scrubbing action, and superior cleaning results; typically used in high-capacity sand-making lines processing materials with high clay content.
Double-Spiral Sand Washer
Working Principle
The motor drives the spiral shafts to rotate. Inside the water tank, the sand and gravel are pushed by the spiral blades, causing them to tumble and grind against each other, thereby removing mud, dust, and impurities from their surfaces. Impurities overflow with the water, while the clean sand and gravel are conveyed by the spirals to the discharge end, completing the cleaning, dewatering, and grading processes.
Key Advantages
Thorough cleaning and high processing capacity; suitable for large-scale sand and gravel production lines;
Robust structure; spiral blades made of wear-resistant materials ensure a long service life;
Stable operation, low failure rate, and easy maintenance;
Deep water tank design minimizes material loss and maximizes the recovery rate of finished sand;
Capable of processing various materials, including river sand, weathered sand, and manufactured sand.
Applications
Sand and gravel washing operations for manufactured sand plants, mines, concrete mixing stations, infrastructure projects, etc.
